Using the new Buffalo State University Art and Design department logo designed by Professor and graphic designer Shasti O’Leary Soudant, I developed a 3D animation. I approached each letter as a character based on my interpretation of the visual design, creating corresponding sound design that I narrated. I animated the B to enter with a spinning motion, mimicking the Twilight Zone intro, with custom narration matching its tone. The S is separated into two Pac-Man-like forms that collide to create the letter. The U functions as a rubber projectile with a ping/chime sound effect. The A launches as a rocket. The D materializes through a vision test sequence, appearing progressively into focus. The project combines motion graphics with character-driven animation and original audio to create a kinetic interpretation of the university’s visual identity.
